What: Battle League

When: 1 PM of March 14 to 1 PM of March 15 (12 PM of March 14 Registration)

Where: 2nd Floor Auditorium

Who: 200 (20 teams of 10 members each) contestants from other HS and colleges. An expected number of officers, proctors, and moderators from iACADEMY students will be at 50.

Games: 

● League of Legends

● Dota 2

● Starcraft 2

● Counterstrike (Global Offensive)

● Pointblank (To be administered by GARENA)

 

Rules

                   

 

                   

1. Trash talking is prohibited.

                   

2. Each member of the team must play at least once.

                   

3. When there are on-going games, audience / idle team members are not allowed near the participating players.

                   

4. Any form of cheating (eg: peeking & coaching from the audience) will result in the team involved to be disqualified.

              

Tournament Mechanics 

                                      

From the pool of games, only 4 will be selected for the teams to participate in certain games. There will be stages in the tournament that will involve round-robin 

                   

matchmaking for each team on each stage of the tournament. 

                   

The tournament will have a point-based system. Winners will get the full set of points in matches while the defeated team will only garner a reduced number of points.

                   

The overall champion will be determined based on whoever garners the most by the end of Battle League.

Participants will register. Anyone without teams yet will be sorted into incomplete teams.

Dinner.

                                      

7:00 PM - 10:00 AM

 This will be the concept creation leg of the event. Teams will be given time to rest and conceptualize games they want to create. Mentors from the organizers will roam around and offer guidance to the teams. No coding will be required, not unless teams would wish to show off.

                                      

10:00 PM - 8:00 AM

 The games will continue.

                   

 

                   

March 15, 2015

                                      

8:00 AM - 9:00 AM 

 Breakfast will be served. Organizers and officers will prepare the area for the final phase of the tournament (console will be prepared if ever the final leg will be using other console games).

                                  

9:00 AM - 11:00 AM 

 The games will continue.

       

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM 

Each team will pitch to the crowd their game concepts.
