Filmmaking brings together talents from different creative disciplines, with each contributor playing a role in shaping a production’s visual identity. Among those involved in the film Multwoh (Patay na Patay Sa’yo) are Sassa Gurl, who plays Marcel, and Joao Constancia, who portrays Miguel, alongside iACADEMY alumnus Jazz Simbulan, a Batch 2018 graduate of the Multimedia Arts and Design program and one of the film’s creative contributors.
Simbulan took on multiple roles in the project, serving in Additional Photography and as a Post-Production Photographer. These responsibilities allowed him to contribute to the film’s visual documentation and supporting materials throughout its production process.
Beyond photography, Simbulan also directed the music video for “Mahiyain,” the creative bridge to “Multwoh,” expanding his involvement from behind-the-scenes visual work to directing a separate creative production connected to the project.
His participation in Multwoh highlights the collaborative nature of filmmaking, where professionals and emerging creatives contribute across different disciplines to bring a project from concept to screen. His work in photography and cinematography demonstrates the range of skills required in today’s creative industry.
As an iACADEMY alumnus, Simbulan’s experience reflects how hands-on opportunities in the creative field can help graduates build portfolios and apply their skills to professional productions.
Through projects like Multwoh, Simbulan continues to build experience across different areas of the creative field, showing how hands-on production work can become an important part of a creative professional’s journey.
