iACADEMY Joins 39th Psychological Association of the Philippines Junior Affiliates (PAPJA) Convention on Futurescaping Psychology and the SDGs

April 28, 2026

iACADEMY participated in the 39th PAPJA Convention held on April 27 and 28, 2026, with the theme, “Futurescaping Psychology: Our Role in Attaining the Sustainable Development Goals.”

The two-day convention gathered psychology students, educators, and professionals for discussions on the evolving role of psychology in addressing today’s social, environmental, and developmental challenges.

Day 1 was held at the SMX Convention Center, where participants engaged in plenary sessions that highlighted how psychology can contribute to sustainable development, mental health awareness, inclusive communities, and responsible action. Day 2 continued with workshops, providing participants with opportunities to deepen their learning through interactive and field-relevant sessions.

For iACADEMY, the convention served as a meaningful platform for its Psychology students to expand their understanding of the discipline beyond the classroom. Through the event, students were exposed to real-world perspectives on how psychological knowledge can support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially in areas related to well-being, education, equality, and community development.

“The participation reflects iACADEMY’s commitment to shaping future-ready Psychology Game Changers who are not only academically equipped, but also socially aware, ethically grounded, and prepared to contribute to a better world.” said by Madeleine Batac, iACADEMY’s Chairperson for Psychology, School of Business and Liberal Arts.

As psychology continues to evolve, iACADEMY remains committed to developing learners who understand people, lead with empathy, and apply knowledge with purpose.

Through opportunities such as the PAPJA Convention, iACADEMY continues to go Beyond Better in preparing students to become professionals who can create meaningful change in society.
