Cinema Served: iACADEMY Turns Style into Purpose at The Devil Wears Prada 2 Block Screening

Gird your Loins! iACADEMY staged its First Day Special Block Screening of The Devil Wears Prada 2, transforming a night at the cinema into a purpose-driven experience. Held at Glorietta 4 Cinema 1 in Makati, the event gathered students, creatives, and industry guests in a full-house celebration that blended fashion, film, and advocacy.
From the moment attendees stepped onto the halls of Glorietta, the atmosphere echoed the film’s iconic influence on style and storytelling. Guests arrived in curated looks, embracing the spirit of the runway while engaging in a shared appreciation for cinema. The screening itself became more than entertainment, it served as a platform for content creators, students, faculty and partners, reinforcing iACADEMY’s culture of creativity with intent.
Beyond the glam, the initiative carried a deeper mission. Proceeds from the event were directed toward an outreach program in partnership with the Sama Bajau Community, highlighting how creative events can extend impact beyond the screen. This alignment of fashion, film, and social responsibility reflects iACADEMY’s commitment to producing experiences that go beyond expectations.
"So we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to each one of you, for being here tonight, for your presence and generosity to be part of something meaningful. Your support turns this gathering into an opportunity to create real change." said by Joanna Marie Mendoza Caneo, iACADEMY's Assistant Vice President for Administration.
"The proceeds from this special block screening will support the Sama Bajau children beneficiaries of Cartwheel Foundation Inc., helping provide education, protection, and a better future." she added.
Through this screening, iACADEMY demonstrated that every frame, every look, and every ticket can contribute to something greater, where creativity is not only seen, but felt and shared with purpose. That’s all.
