The Software Development (SD) Strand provides students with the skills and knowledge they need to work in the co computing-related courses in higher education or engage in computer science and information technology.

SD focuses on Data Structures, programming such as Core Java, Web, and Object-Oriented and Mobile Computing.

BEST PROJECT-BASED LEARNING OUTPUT

Grade 11 Software Development Game Changers won the best PBL output for an application that helps students cope and deal with overlapping schedules and unregulated time allotment.

They named it STU.A.R.T. , or STUdents Application for Regulating Time. STU.A.R.T. was conceptualized, tested, and presented by Neal Cua, Alessandra Garcia, Kyle Ricalde, Francis Sulit, and TJ Tomenes last June during the #PBLExpo



Alumni Game Changer

Arla Jan Patrick Ragun, a SHS Game Changer, has been awarded a full scholarship to Duke University, a top-ranking school in the United States.

“I am so grateful to have been supported by the OSAS team all throughout the application journey, especially having little to no background in applying to schools in the US. As I enter Duke University as a Computer Science major concentrating in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, I promise to bring my game changing roots I have acquired during my stay at iACADEMY Nexus”, he shares.

Arla Jan Patrick Ragun will be pursuing a major in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
